The works planned until 2020 are the extension of the Terminal Area with a building of 100,000 square meters and five floors, serving 7,500 passengers per hour and with an investment of 425 million euros. In these future extensions there is a new flight runway (AENA has already designed the basic project with 3,200 meters long and 60 meters wide, which will allow working with up to 96 operations per hour, more than twice the current capacity) and rolling, the extension of the boarding area and a landing approach system in adverse weather conditions.
